People are taking the “Girls, stop going for the bad guy” quote wayyyy out of context.

If you read the whole Q/A in the interview, you’d see that she wasn’t saying “Stop liking the bad guy as a character in every single story ever”, she was saying “Stop liking Draco more than Harry as a person because you’re attracted to Tom Felton.”

And she’s competely right. You shouldn’t fancy the young Draco - he’s a racist, classist, blood purist little shit who thinks he’s better than people because of his heritage. He was not a good person.

When he get’s older and learns, sure, he becomes a good person. But saying you think young Draco is ~sexy and super cool~ just because Tom is good looking completely undermines so many of the messages in the books.
